The boards read "MTV won't let me perform" and "so I'm hosting this year's VMAs".
She made headlines two years ago after twerking with Robin Thicke.
At that performance she wore a nude latex outfit, accessorised with a giant foam finger.

Kanye West got on stage and interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech in 2009, while both Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera each had a kiss with Madonna during the show in 2003.
This year's MTV VMAs will take place on 30 August at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. They will air live on MTV.
