Speaking on his favourite food
My favourite food is pounded yam and egusi or efo riro toh bad, with some meat or fried fish, once I get to London, that’s the first thing I look for.
On his relationship with British rapper, Skepta
That’s my brother, where will I be … That’s family. We just hang out.
I can’t remember the first time we met. Before I met him I was fan, big fan of Skepta but it’s just been cool since we met.
It’s like, we get it. We have what we’re trying to achieve with the music and the sound, and we kinda like think alike.
Plans for his next album
The thing is, ‘Sounds from the Other Side’ is done, like, ready to go. I’m actually working on the next album.
I already have all the songs [from ‘Sounds from the Other Side’] on my phone. I’m looking at summer, so my third album will be ready in June or July.
On the first song he ever wrote
It was in church, a rap song and I wrote about God. I’ll never forget. [laughs]
I thought I was like the next 50 [Cent]. [laughs]
The crazy thing is, we did a remix of ‘Stunt 101’ and performed it. [laughs]

Karan, 66, plans to devote greater time to her Urban Zen company and foundation, but will remain a close adviser to DKI under a long-term agreement, according to the company.
