Nigeria's Etebo joins Stoke City for £6.35m

Nigeria midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo enjoyed a reprieve from his World Cup arrangements to join English Championship club Stoke on Monday.

Etebo will be an individual from the Nigeria squad when the World Cup gets in progress in Russia on Thursday.

The 22-year-old is allowed to focus on his worldwide responsibilities in the wake of leaving Portuguese side Feirense in a £6.35 million ($8.5 million) change to second-level Stoke.

Etebo concurred a five-year contract with Stoke, who were consigned from the Premier League in May and are planning to win advancement from the Championship next season under new supervisor Gary Rowett.

"We're extremely eager to have the arrangement over the line for Etebo. I'm anticipating seeing him in a Stoke City shirt as I'm certain our supporters are as well," Rowett said.
