2018 budget will only increase Nigeria’s debt profile 2018 budgetary spending will rise up to N10trn. A financial analyst, Jide Akintunde, who is the managing editor and chief executive officer of Financial Nigeria Magazine, has warned that the 2018 budget presented by President Muhammadu Buhari, is not realistic but will further plunge the country into further debts. Speaking in an interview with Osasu Igbinedion on the Osasu Show, Akintunde lamented that with over 50 percent of the 2017 budget unimplemented, the total appropriation of the 2018 budget will be in the region of N10trn instead of the proposed N8.6trn.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Tuesday said it has postponed the sale of its 2018 application forms for intending candidates. The Board disclosed this in a statement, signed by its Head of Media,  Dr Fabian Benjamin  and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja. According Benjamin the sale of the application documents, which was scheduled to start on  Nov. 22 suffered delay due to the publishers’ inability to print  the 1.8 million copies of the forms before the deadline.
